What is an Average?
The average (also called the mean) is calculated by adding all numbers together and dividing the total by the number of values. It is one of the most commonly used statistical measures.
Average Formula
Average = (Sum of all values) ÷ (Total number of values)
For example, the average of 10, 20, and 30 is: (10 + 20 + 30) ÷ 3 = 20.
