Privacy Policy

The Short Version
We don't collect your personal information. You don't need to sign up, we don't track what you calculate, and we don't sell your data to anyone. That's it. If you want the legal details, keep reading.
What Information We Collect
Here's the honest truth: we collect very little. When you use our calculators, the calculations happen in your browser. We don't see the numbers you're entering or the results you're getting.
What we do collect:
- Basic analytics - things like which calculators are popular, what pages people visit, how long they stay. Nothing personal, just general usage patterns to help us improve the site.
- Technical stuff - your IP address, browser type, device type. This is standard web server log data that every website collects.
- Cookies - mostly for keeping track of your preferences and making the site work properly. More on this below.
How We Use Your Information
Since we barely collect anything, there's not much to use. What little we do have goes toward:
- Making the site better - If everyone's using the BMI calculator but nobody touches the loan calculator, that tells us something.
- Fixing problems - If something breaks, the logs help us figure out what went wrong.
- Keeping things secure - Sometimes we need to block spam or prevent abuse.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with random third parties. We're not building profiles on you. Honestly, we're just trying to run a useful website.
Cookies and Tracking
Yeah, we use cookies. Here's what they do:
- Essential cookies - These make the site work. Without them, things would break.
- Analytics cookies - These help us understand how people use the site. We use Google Analytics, which is pretty standard.
- Advertising cookies - We show some ads to keep the lights on. These cookies help make sure the ads are somewhat relevant.
Most browsers let you control cookies. You can block them if you want, though some features might not work as well.
Third-Party Services
We use a few third-party services to keep things running:
- Google Analytics - For understanding site traffic and usage patterns
- Ad networks - For displaying advertisements (sorry, but servers aren't free)
- Hosting providers - For keeping the site online and fast
These services have their own privacy policies. We pick ones that respect user privacy, but you should know they exist.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you might have certain rights about your data:
- The right to know what data we have (spoiler: not much)
- The right to ask us to delete it
- The right to opt out of certain tracking
If you want to exercise any of these rights, just contact us. We'll do what we can, though there's honestly not much personal data to work with.
Kids and Privacy
Our site is open to everyone, including students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Actually, we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, period. The calculators work without needing any personal details.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle privacy, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Big changes? We'll probably mention it on the homepage too. We're not planning any major shifts though - the whole "collect as little as possible" thing works pretty well for us.
Questions?
If something in this policy doesn't make sense or you have concerns about privacy, reach out. We're real people and we'll do our best to answer clearly. No legal jargon runaround, promise.
